Enso HD blades are constructed of 37-layer stainless steel Damascus with a VG-10 steel cutting core for excellent edge retention. Every blade is heat treated to a 61 on the Rockwell scale and are hand ground to approximately 12° cutting angle with a hammered or sashimi finish.
All Enso HD knives feature a black canvas micarta handle with three stainless steel rivets, bolster and end cap. The enclosed full tang handle construction is seamless and ensures strength, durability and balance. The double bevel (50/50) edge is designed for right or left-handed use, with a machine-pressed blade kanji. The first two Japanese characters of the kanji are Enso which means Harmony in Japanese, and the last three characters are Nippon Sei, which means Made In Japan.
